Jim has broad responsibility for university-wide IT visioning and strategic technology planning. He coordinates the IT technology planning, policy setting, prioritization and decision-making processes and is responsible for the strategic deployment of the academic IT operations, services and resources in support of the university mission and its central and distributed technology requirements.

Carmela has financial, administrative and operational responsibility for the Office of Information Technology. She also oversees communications, public relations and event logistics for the Office of Information Technology, the Institute for Digital Research and Education, and Academic Technology Services. She is closely tied to the UCLA Disabilities and Computing Program.

Bill Labate leads UCLA's Academic Technology Services organization. With a technology background that stretches over 25 years, Bill has a special focus on high performance computing, Grid and Cloud infrastructure, IT and project management as well as financial planning and analysis of IT projects. In his secondary role as the Managing Director for the Institute for Digital Research and Education (IDRE), Bill is responsible for OIT's relationship with the Institute.
He is also involved with the UC System efforts focused on Grid and Cloud computing, scientific workflow and data centers. Bill and ATS provide consulting and services to the campus in the following areas:

Rose specializes in coordinating campus-wide, academic-focused IT web-based initiatives, system design projects, workflow systems and database projects. Rose has developed ongoing partnerships with IT vendors and provides application and organization consulting for academic IT units.
Rose is currently involved in several on-going projects, including: The DAT (Dossier Action Tracking) System, the Common Collaborative Learning Environment (CCLE), and AtmySenate. Rose is also leading UCLA's iTunes U efforts.

Kent provides thought leadership in shaping institutional policy and in participating in the national discourse on IT issues of strategic concern to the academy. Recognized as an expert in illegal file sharing, data breach incident response and related topics, he has been frequently invited to share his experiences at conferences and in publications. He works in close coordination with the campus IT governance committees and broadly across the institution; and collaborates with colleagues at other institutions, participates in national associations such as EDUCAUSE and sits on various advisory and policy committees.
