Raminder Sandhu

Raminder Sandhu joined the CESMII technical team as Program Manager in June of 2021. In this role, he oversees the planning, implementation, and monitoring of institute projects from proposal through execution. His portfolio consists of manufacturing research projects of varying sizes across the US.

Raminder has over 20 years of experience in engineering, new product design and development, product marketing and product management, primarily in robotics and manufacturing automation.

Raminder’s technical background includes implementing robotics, machine vision, and other manufacturing automation tools. This included managing the entire product life cycle from defining the initial product strategy to product design, development, marketing, and delivery.

Prior to joining CESMII, Raminder was the Robotics Product Manager at CMTC, where he advised California manufacturers in the MEP (Manufacturing Extension Partnership) network. In his role as Robotics Product Manager, Raminder also supported the Advanced Robotics for Manufacturing (ARM) Institute, providing technical reviews of research proposals submitted to ARM.
