The Office of Information Technology enhances and promotes UCLA’s academic and research functions by:
- understanding information technology issues, patterns and trends to guide campus leadership in strategic decision-making and investment in IT;
- managing the governance process through which the campus involves stakeholders and makes strategic policy, fiscal and technical decisions about IT;
- developing IT capability and solutions for academic and research programs through services and institutes;
- developing community programs and policy guidance that promote the informed and innovative use of IT by the campus community.
